Washington State's Public Lands are at Risk

The Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee budget reconciliation bill released on June 11, 2025 mandates the sale of up to 3.2 million acres of United States Forest Service (USFS) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land. Of the possible 250 million acres eligible for sale, over 5 million are in Washington State.

Many of our beloved hiking trails and outdoor recreation areas are located on land that may be sold. View the map to the left to see which of your favorite hikes and spaces are at risk.

Please take action to ensure that our public lands stay public.
